Two More Brands I Want To Try (OR GIVE ANOTHER SHOT?)

 Lovelace Cosmetics

I wouldn't say that I have a "love/hate" relationship with Lovelace Cosmetics, because I don't think you can really say that when you've only purchased one thing from a brand. However, I was (and still am) subscribed to Victoria Lovelace's youtube channel, the owner. When her brand was coming out with a palette named "The Blood Countess" palette, I fell in love with the red color story and went to buy it right away. I don't know what happened with the website, but instead I was sent the "Interview With A Vampire" inspired palette.

I ended up keeping the Vampire palette, because it came from over-seas, and I honestly just didn't want to pay to ship it back in exchange for the palette I had originally wanted. There's nothing wrong with the palette I got. My only criticism is that the artwork is a sticker on top of the packaging. And even that isn't a terrible thing, but the sticker was already peeling off when I received it in the mail.

Needless to say between both those situations, despite the brand being creepy cute and aesthetically right up my alley, I've stayed away. I also haven't received any notifications either for Victoria's youtube channel, and you know...Out of sight, out of mind, right?

I have been looking to get out of the youtube "group" I've sort of fallen into. It's like on tiktok, where people ask you to interact to get them off a certain side they don't want people finding their videos on? I guess it's sort of a similar vibe. Some of these people aren't treating my other friends with the respect they deserve - and when called out on it, they think THEY are the ones being bullied. It's just time to leave them and find others who are into similar stuff as me!

That being alternative and goth things, for the most part. Liking wrestling is always a plus, too, haha. Anyways, I stumbled upon a gothy youtuber named Charliezard, whose about section simply states "Fashion, makeup and all that jazz." I found that she showed off a newer palette from Lovelace Cosmetics, named Dracul's Bride. Instantly fell in love with the color story:

Now I've stumbled upon a few other gothy/alternative newer youtubers who have not only also shown off this palette, but other things as well. And I'm so happy to have found my people! I'm not trying to grow my following, but just interact with people who are more like me in general that's all. Anyways, now that I've seen there are new palettes from this brand, I am interested in purchasing more. It appears that the Dracul's Bride palette might be made similar to the one I already have, but that's ok. Because the next palette I want from them also looks like the brand stepped up their game:

THIS palette really does remind me of Beetlejuice! I love the neon colors, I do wish there was maybe a mid grey color too.
