Plans for my channel for the new year

 I'm less than two months away now from hitting a year of daily uploads! Isn't that amazing? I didn't do it to be trendy or anything, I really wanted to sort of document my journey in makeup as well as my love of wrestling and glibly called it "The Road to 40" since I'll be turning 40 years old on February 5th, 2022. 

I'm still uncertain if after the year is up, whether or not I'm going to split my channel and only have makeup or wrestling on my main channel - or if I should continue to keep them together. That being said, I do have a few goals for my channel after that day that I'd like to start expanding on and getting a game plan together.

For one thing, I want to go on a low-buy. I think my plan will be to save a certain amount of money from my tips I make at work, to go towards new makeup. 

There is a youtuber I follow (thanks to my youtube friend hautemess tom) named Hannah Louise Poston who basically said in one of her more recent videos that she has a "makeup budget" for her channel every month. Previously she went on a yearly no-buy and did many videos about it and then her experience during that time. I don't know if I am ready to be on the no-buy train myself, but I definitely think a low buy experience is in order! I'm thinking about making it a 6 month journey. 

Next on my list is cutting down the daily uploads. Look, I'm not saying I'm not going to post. But daily uploading is no freaking joke, and I was very excited for many months to be doing it...But I'm definitely seeing the light at the end of the tunnel here, and I've wanted to just stop for a few months now. I don't literally shoot, edit, and post a video every single day. There are times I record several videos at once, most notably before going to work, so that I do have a video that can be posted on those days. It would be so much easier if I didn't have a job, or at least worked a normal one.

I'm thinking about going to 3 days a week. I'm probably going to put a poll up on the community tab of my youtube channel to ask if people have any preferences for which days they'd like me to upload on. After those three days, any other time I happen to upload wrestling content can be considered a "bonus" video, since we aren't guaranteeing we will be going to any shows on a regular basis of course. I might like to start doing commentary on wrestling shows/the shows I watch on tv...But that's just an idea to shelve for now. 

I also like the idea of doing "daily" makeup baskets. I got the idea from some older videos from a youtuber I now follow named Ourielle. She basically was prepping her makeup for several days akin to meal prepping. Another way to do it would be like my friend hautemess tom at the current moment where he is using all his makeup up during December here. Once he uses a product, he has to toss it in a box and pick a new product from his stash to use, until it's all gone. That is another way to use every product you own which I may also adopt. I still have some time to figure all of this out.

I definitely have some ideas for my blog here too...I think I'm going to use this as a place to post useful links for other youtube content creators, as well as post photos of makeup for on-going videos I'd probably want to make during certain times of the year. I've been posting these things to Facebook, but I'm just not into Facebook anymore and am rarely on it, except to communicate with some friends and family. Plus let's be honest, if I do anything to upset the Zucc, I'll get another 30 day ban, and then can't post anything! Better to jot down and share photos here where I can organize them in a better fashion anyways. Plus, this doesn't need to have a video shot and edited...Just need to write things down!

I have a HUGE list of content ideas that I'll finally have a place to share with you all...As well as a spot to view them without having to pull out my notebook. Which I forget to look in! 

Another thing I'll probably do is simply share images of new releases and just quickly share my thoughts here in separate posts as they are shared by others. That way at the end of the year I can do videos like I see people doing now - such as the "ugliest palettes of the year" because let's be honest, roasting stuff is fun!
